If you need counselling support now, contact your GP for a referral to a counsellor local to you, or request a Mental Health Care Plan and referral to see a psychologist.

Counsellors accredited with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), or the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) have successfully completed recognised professional counselling training requirements and are aligned with an industry ethical code of practice. Because counselling is not a government-regulated profession, to ensure your well-being safety, you are within your right to seek confirmation of accreditation with either of the above associations prior to commencing therapy sessions.
